    Arrival and transfer to Amed

    Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar. Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Amed. A string of black-sand fishing coves under Mount Agung, and the calmest diving in Bali. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Amed.

    Amed: USAT Liberty wreck dive or snorkel at Tulamben

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Amed — the USAT Liberty wreck dive or snorkel at Tulamben; the Jemeluk bay coral garden and the traditional jukung boats; and a sunrise over Mount Rinjani from the Amed shore. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Amed.

    Amed to Candidasa

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Candidasa — a ninety-minute drive down the coast. A quiet east-coast village of lotus lagoons, the old Bali Aga country behind it and the Padang Bai jetty next door. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Tirta Gangga water palace. Overnight in Candidasa.

    Candidasa: Taman Ujung water palace and the Bali Aga village of Tenganan

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Candidasa — the Taman Ujung water palace and the Bali Aga village of Tenganan; the Lempuyang temple and its gate of heaven; and the white-sand beach at Virgin Beach and the Padang Bai coves. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Candidasa.

    Candidasa to Nusa Penida

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Nusa Penida — a transfer to Sanur and a forty-minute fast boat. A limestone island off the south-east coast — cliff viewpoints, manta rays and roads that are still an adventure. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Kelingking Beach cliff viewpoint. Overnight in Nusa Penida.

    Nusa Penida: Angel Billabong and Broken Beach

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Nusa Penida — Angel Billabong and Broken Beach; snorkelling with manta rays at Manta Point; and the Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach staircases. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Nusa Penida.

    Nusa Penida — departure

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Time for any last shopping before your transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar for the onward flight. The tour ends here, and we hope it is not your last visit to Indonesia.

  • A separate accompanying guide; the driver is not a licensed guide.
  • Indonesia visa on arrival, the Bali tourist levy and travel insurance.
  • Optional tours and activities not named in the programme — diving courses, water sports, spa and cooking classes.

  • Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence, closes the island and the airport for 24 hours; nothing operates that day.
