   Proceed early to Sonprayag and continue by locally operated transport to Gaurikund. Begin the trek to Kedarnath Dham. Pilgrims may trek on foot or independently arrange pony, pithu, palanquin or helicopter services at additional cost and subject to availability.    After breakfast, proceed towards Pipalkoti, Govindghat or Badrinath through Ukhimath, Chopta, Pipalkoti and Joshimath. The itinerary generally prefers an overnight stay at Pipalkoti or Govindghat to avoid late-evening movement on the mountain road to Badrinath and to maintain a more relaxed pace. A stay in Badrinath may be arranged depending on the selected package, road conditions, weather and guest preference.
